What is Gen Z?
GenZ is a digital and media literacy platform to encourage young people – the so-called ‘Generation Z’ – to think about media freedoms.
Who is behind this project?
GenZ is a project developed and managed by the 3CL Foundation.
Who can participate?
This project is aimed at anyone who was born after 1995 and who is a Maltese citizen, or a resident in Malta.
What content can I submit?
You will need to develop a compelling piece of content that can be shared online, and that addresses the subject from your personal, but informed viewpoint. Any one of these or combination of the following would qualify as online content:
- A piece of text (no word count limit)
- A blog post or a series of posts
- An image / visual / illustration / poster / photo / photo gallery / infographic
- A video
- A vlog
- An audio recording
- A podcast
- A meme / artwork
Can I submit more than once?
Definitely -The more the merrier!
What is media freedom?
Media Freedom is a step-up from freedom of the press as it extends from the traditional idea of print to, ratio, television and most importantly, the Internet.
What will I gain out of this?
Aside from educating yourself and the public, you are putting yourself out there by showcasing your skills on a public platform.
